On March 4th, GDUFS celebrated the 10th anniversary of the MA Program in English Language Education, a collaborative effort between our university and the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. The Convention of the International Society for Ethical Literary Criticism held at GDUFS

Baiyun Mountain Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, November 11, 2022: The 11th Convention of the International Society for Ethical Literary Criticism was held at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. The conference aims to explore important issues in Ethical Literary Criticism and Interdisciplinary Studies, providing new viewpoints and new approaches for Ethical Literary Criticism in the new era. Shi Youqi, the Secretary of the Communist Party Committee and President of GDUFS, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. The conference was carried out both online and offline. About 380 specialists and scholars from nearly 260 universities around the world attended the conference, while more than 4,000 people participated online.

GDUFS's Alumnae Make History in Rio

FENG Shanshan, an alumnus of the Faculty of English Language and Culture in GDUFS, clinched the first medal for Chinese golfers at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games after the final round of the women’s event on August 20th. As women’s golf returned to the Olympic stage after 116 years, FENG claimed the bronze medal with a total of 10-under-par 274. Another alumnus of the School of Journalism and Communication, LIN Xiyu, finished the first hole-in-one in the women’s event of the Olympic Games on August 19th.
