Wu Zhuang is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), serving as the deputy dean of the Faculty of English Language and Culture, and a member of the Academic Committee of the university. He concurrently holds the positions of vice chairman of the Formal Linguistics Professional Committee of China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese, secretary-general of the Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of Guangdong Higher Education Institutions, and vice chairman of Guangdong Foreign Language Society. His primary research focus is on language acquisition. Wu has presided over two projects funded by the National Social Science Fund, one subproject of a major National Social Science Fund project, and ten provincial and ministerial-level projects including those funded by the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education. He teaches one provincial-level graduate demonstration course, has published two monographs and one translated work, serves as the executive editor of the textbook series "English for Compulsory Education" (published by People's Education Press - Datong Edition, starting from the third grade), and authored over 30 papers in journals such as Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Modern Foreign Languages, and Journal of Foreign Languages.
