LIU Humin is Ph. D, professor, doctoral supervisor and Vice Dean of Faculty of English Language and Culture, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. She received her MA degrees from South China Normal University in China and Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, and a Doctoral degree from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in China. In 2011, she was a visiting scholar at the University of Minnesota sponsored by the Sino-US Education Trust.

She is President of Hainan Provincial Translators Association, the peer review expert of National Social Science Research Fund Project, academic dissertation review expert of Ministry of Education, Member of the Foreign Literature Committee of China Higher Education Association, executive member of Cognitive Poetics Branch of Chinese Comparative Literature Association, member of the Sino-Foreign Cooperation Research Branch of Guangdong Higher Education Association and Hainan Foreign Language Platform consultant.

At present, she is mainly engaged in the teaching and research of English language courses and specialized courses of British and American literature. Her main research interests include British and American modern and contemporary novels, trauma literature, war literature and Greco-Roman mythology. In recent years, she has published more than 30 papers in academic journals and three textbooks. She has hosted and participated in 15 projects, including National Social Science Research Fund Project, Guangdong Social Science Research Fund Project, Guangdong Higher Education Teaching Reform Project, Chinese Academic Foreign Translation Project, Social Science Project of Ministry of Education, Guangdong Graduate Teaching Reform Project and etc.
