Jinhui Li is former Deputy Director of Gui Shichun Institute for Advanced Studies in Applied Linguistics, and Senior Lecturer of Applied Linguistics at the Faculty of English Language and Culture in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Communicative English for Chinese Learners, English Journalistic Readings, Corpus Linguistics, and Computational Linguistics. He received his PhD in Applied Linguistics, with a specialization in Computational Linguistics, from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in 2009, and was Visiting Scholar to Westminster University in London, UK in 2000, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2014, and The Pennsylvania State University in the USA in 2014 and 2015. His current research interests include analysis of native and learner corpora, use of natural language processing technology in second language lexical development in the field of Applied Linguistics.
